About Deuce

deuce-lutui-headshotMy name is Taitusi “Deuce” Lutui. I am named after my mother’s father and was born on the tiny island of Tongatapu, Tonga.

My family and I moved to the United States when I was only a few months old, and my journey would start at a very young age.

As a 9 year old, I spoke out to the Universe, and solidified my future by writing 7 simple words on the 1st page of my journal, which said,

“I want to be an NFL player.”

I attended Mesa High School, where I played as a two-way lineman for the school’s football team. In 2001, I was named Super Prep All-Farwest, Prep Star All-West, All-State, All-Region, and All-Conference as a two-way lineman for Mesa High.

After graduation, I went the JUCO route by attending a year at Mesa Community College and then transferring to Snow College, where I would receive my Associates Degree before transferring to the University of Southern California (USC), and becoming an official Trojan in 2004.

We went on to win the National Championship Game against Oklahoma. After the season, I received first-team All-PAC 10 selection, and a consensus first-team All-American recognitions.

In 2006, I was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the Second Round of the draft, and was with them for 6 solid and eventful years. We advanced to the Super Bowl XLIII to play against the Pittsburg Steelers, where we unfortunately lost in the final minutes of the game.

After Arizona, I played for the Seattle Seahawks for a few months, and then signed to the Tennessee Titans with a 1 year contract. After that year was up, I chose to retire to finally enjoy time with my wife and 6 children.

It was an amazing journey! However, I didn’t come out of my football career unscathed.

I accumulated a lot of mental and physical injuries due to my career path, and now I experience a lot of mental breaks, which has brought me to this moment of creating my own hemp business.

I understand that there are prescriptions and medications out there for these issues, but for many years I have chosen a natural path for my healing journey, and have become a huge advocate for hemp and CBD and their healing properties.

This is only a bit of my story of who I am.

I do hope you enjoy quality hemp products as much as I have, and I strive to bring to you the highest quality products that I use for myself and my family.
